Lexia Inicio a la LecturaTM
Inicio a la LecturaTM helps young Spanish-speaking children to develop phonemic awareness in their native language before transitioning to English. The software helps pre-readers learn to isolate the sounds of familiar words in order to apply phonics later as a word-attack strategy for reading and spelling.
Children navigate increasingly complex exercises in sound identification, rhyming, word structure and sound discrimination, and the software automatically provides extra practice when needed. Inicio a la Lectura also helps students build vocabulary and provides practice following directions.
