Teaching Reading: Stages & StrategiesTM
An Interactive Teacher Training CD-ROM

This interactive software program is designed to provide an introduction to the concepts and techniques important for teaching students to read.

Teaching Reading: Stages & Strategies helps to explain why children succeed in reading by providing an engaging overview of the reading process, stages of reading, and multi-sensory teaching strategies.

Teaching Reading provides both a theoretical and practical foundation to inform and guide reading instruction.
School Edition

The coursework consists of instruction, application exercises,
and post-tests. The content covers:

• The relationship between spoken and written language

• Stages of reading development across all grades

• Teaching strategies based on multi-sensory techniques

• Instruction examples and exercises

Teaching Reading is self-paced for independent use. Its post-tests
reinforce the material covered in each unit and allow
users to demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter.

Teaching Reading: Stages & Strategies was designed in partnership with the language and reading specialists at The Carroll School of Lincoln, Massachusetts.

"This CD will help teachers independently learn what multi-sensory structured language techniques are, and will provide them with insights on how to apply these techniques to students who are in varying stages of learning to read."
